We offer customized training and help on a variety of topics, including business subjects like finance and accounting; math; and computer & web-related topics. We’re often available to speak on the phone and can deliver training and advice in a number of ways, including:
- Corporate Training – for groups of employees
- Executive Coaching – for executive and associates sponsored by their firms or organizations
- Personal Tutoring – for individuals seeking to learn more on their own or for students who can’t seem to connect with a subject or professor
Corporate Training Sessions
We develop and present both general and highly-specialized training sessions within firms. We are subject matter experts in a number of fields, including:
- Accounting (managerial, cost and financial)
- Finance and its subfields, e.g., valuation, etc.
- Risk management, including risk-neutral valuation
- Economics, especially information economics, incentives and agency theory
- Math (simple and advanced), including probability and statistics
- Decision-making
We have taught many of the above subjects at local and national universities and in corporate training programs and have worked or consulted in all of these fields. That means we can provide and explain practical applications of those academic concepts, including the strengths and weaknesses of various textbook approaches.
We focus on the foundations of each field and emphasize definitions and vocabulary, which are the building blocks to understand any subject. We cut through the jargon by using clear and simple language, and help employees to be more focused by thinking more clearly about their tasks, fields, and goals.
Group training creates value by: (1) informing and educating employees, and (2) providing a common framework and vocabulary and understanding among employees.
Executive Coaching and Private Training
Often, as part of a career progression plan or path, executives and associates are promoted or rotated into jobs that might be outside of their area of expertise.
Through private, confidential training and coaching, we can quickly bring executives up-to-speed and provide advice on how to frame problems correctly and what to ask for from subordinates.
We can help close the knowledge gap between general managers and subordinates with highly-technical skills in math, business, or information systems. (And the best part, is that no one has to know.)
So, if you are an executive trying to get up-to-speed in a new quantitative or technical area, we provide private and confidential consultations at home, at the office, or at off-site locations, e.g., Panera.
Think of it as executive tutoring, but it’s really a wise investment in your human capital.
