Best Sentence We’ve Read in Awhile

Is in Daniel Henninger’s column, Should the GOP Forget Reagan?, in Thurday’s edition of The Wall Street Journal.

Speaking of Ronald Reagan and Jack Kemp, who died within the past week (God rest his soul), Mr. Hennigner wrote about their views in contrast to Obama’s: “This would not have occurred to either man because their politics were rooted in the 300-year-old, singularly American tradition of individuals freely deciding how to spend their productive hours and money inside a public system that mainly provides security and safety.”

Amen!
