Mostly funny, but could be painful depend­ing upon where you’ve made your bed. (Per­haps they’re not coy­otes that our neigh­bors on the cul-​de-​sac hear howl­ing at night.)

It reminds us of the 100% lux­ury tax that we dis­cov­ered many, many years ago. For any “unnec­es­sary” large pur­chase – defined as what you want, e.g., elec­tron­ics, speak­ers, etc – pre­cede that trans­ac­tion with a gift of jew­elry of equal or greater value. (It’s like a spoon­ful of sugar.) 

It’s costly but in the long-run, both effec­tive and effi­cient, and per the ad, the human toll is sub­stan­tially lower.
