We’re in the mid­dle of writ­ing a longer post, which caused us to res­can Wednesday’s edi­tion of The Wall Street Jour­nal. 

In the process of scan­ning it, we saw this short “analy­sis” by Liam Neel­ing in the Heard on the Street sec­tion, Elec­tion Has Clear Win­ner: The Mar­kets.

After Wednesday’s 5% drop in equi­ties mar­kets, do you think that pos­si­bly, just maybe, in 2012, Mr. Neel­ing might actu­ally wait for two sam­ple points before extrap­o­lat­ing a trend? 

Nah, why bother. Except for a few pedants such as ourselves, few oth­ers care or remem­ber what was writ­ten yesterday.
